Cheshire young farmers hosted their first charity night in Tarporley, raising funds for R.A.B.I, Cheshire YFC and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Organised by county chairs Dave Nicolas and Lisa Oakes, the event welcomed around 400 members of local young farmers clubs to a night of entertainment. Ten teams competed for the best musical performance of the night. From a herd of singing cows to a cheerleader’s dance, guests saw it all. However, it was the group from Beeston YFC (pictured) who wowed the judges with their Wurzels performance and claimed first place.
After the show, Jonty Cliffe and Simon Lamb auctioned off 24 lots that had been donated by YFC members. The top prize – a dinner for eight hosted by Dave Nicolas and Lisa Oakes – sold for £760.
