Malpas YFC surpassed their goal of walking, running and cycling 575 miles for charity by a whopping 3,312 miles. To date, they have raised £660 for R.A.B.I and the Trussell Trust.
Junior, senior and past members all got involved to collectively cover the miles around Cheshire. The original goal of 575 miles was chosen in honour of the 575 deaths in Cheshire due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other clubs around Cheshire soon got involved and members past and present rallied to the cause to smash the target, covering close to 3,887 miles.
Prizes were awarded to those who covered the furthest distance. The Malpas YFC awards went to Mandy Cotton (past member), Stu Sadler (present member) and Harri Whittingham (future member). Winners of the Cheshire YFC categories were Sophie Molloy (past member), Victoria Bennion (over 18) and Peter Huxley (under 18).
