The Wales and Borders North Country Cheviot Sheep Society presented the Carmarthenshire committee with a donation of £250.
Funds were raised via a stock judging competition, auction and raffle held at the society’s open day at member David Pittendreigh’s farm. Further funds were raised at the society’s dinner and AGM.
Linda Jones, Regional Manager for Wales, said: “I would like to thank David Pittendreigh, Amanda Meakins and Julie Earle from the society for attending our Carmarthenshire committee meeting in order to present the cheque to our volunteers.”
Rhiannon Mercer, Carmarthenshire committee chair, added: “We’re very grateful to society members for their generosity and for supporting our work in Carmarthenshire. It is an uncertain time for the farming industry, but we are here to help in times of need. There is no shame in asking R.A.B.I for help and our work is confidential at all times.”
