Cambridgeshire chair Christine Bish received the East regional prize from Stuart Roberts, NFU vice president, at R.A.B.I’s award ceremony in Oxfordshire.
Christine has been on the committee for more than 15 years. Recently, she helped organise the inaugural Stamford tractor run, which took supporters through Burghley Park and the RAF Wittering grounds – land not normally open to the public.
R.A.B.I deputy chairman Joshua Hosier said: “Christine is incredibly organised and efficient. She is a wonderful chair to the committee. She ensures all events are run to perfection, with finances sorted and tasks delegated to suit everyone’s strengths. She has organised everything from auction preview events and barn dances, to dog walks, lambing days and ‘wine and roses’ evenings.”
