The ladies of the Pembrokeshire R.A.B.I committee will be hosting an afternoon tea at Slebech Park Hotel in Haverfordwest to raise money for farmers in financial difficulty.
The July 31 event is the first of the year for the Pembrokeshire Ladies and is sure to prove popular with only a limited number of tickets available. The hard-working committee raised more than £17,000 for R.A.B.I in 2015. Much of our funding comes from public donations, events arranged by our 54 regional county committees and support from businesses and community groups. Last year, R.A.B.I gave out grants of £263,000 in Wales alone.
R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “Our county committees are the lifeblood of R.A.B.I and the ladies in Pembrokeshire have once again arranged a superb programme of fundraisers.”
Helen Williams, Pembrokeshire Ladies chair, added: “We had an outstanding year in 2015 and I would like to thank all our dedicated and loyal supporters. We certainly value their kindness and generosity, because it spurs us on to try and help as many farming people as we can.”
