Dan Whitbread has joined R.A.B.I as Head of Operations, working out of the charity’s Oxford office.
He said: “I’ll oversee HR, compliance, IT, facilities and office management. I’ll also be supporting Alicia to define and develop the processes we need to support our strategic intent.
“The charity has a huge amount of potential to better help people who are so important to the UK. Farmers are facing unprecedented challenges at the moment and I’m keen to help R.A.B.I grow to do more to meet the needs of these people.
“Everyone I’ve met at R.A.B.I has been friendly, open, and willing to do all they can to make the charity run as well as possible. I’m looking forward to joining up the different functions so we all work together more closely.”
Dan already has a few dates in the diary, including meeting the Regional Managers and Regional Welfare Officers in November and December, meeting with our sister charity RSABI and attending the Oxford Farming Conference in early 2020.
Before coming to R.A.B.I, Dan worked at Samaritans as the Assistant Director for Caller Services. Outside of work, his time is taken up by his four-year-old son. He also enjoys swimming as a way to take a break and recharge.
