    Alan Davies and Delme Harries

Yn sgil ymateb eithriadol i ymgyrch recriwtio ymddiriedolwyr yr elusen yn ddiweddar, mae RABI yn falch o gyhoeddi y bydd Alan Davies (L) a Delme Harries (R) yn ymuno â’r sefydliad.

Mae gan Alan a Delme gyfoeth o sgiliau a phrofiad cyflenwol i’w cyfrannu i Gyngor Ymddiriedolwyr yr elusen ffermio, ar adeg o ddatblygu sylweddol ym myd amaethyddiaeth ac yn yr elusen.

Mae Alan wedi gweithio’n helaeth ar lefel uwch ar fyrddau ac mae wedi datblygu perthnasoedd gwerthfawr ar draws Cymru, yn cynnwys mewn llywodraeth ac yn y sector cyhoeddus. Mae Alan yn siaradwr Cymraeg rhugl a ymddeolodd yn gynharach eleni o’i rôl fel Rheolwr Gyfarwyddwr Grŵp Undeb Amaethwyr Cymru.

“Mae RABI yn sefydliad gwych ac rwy’n awyddus i gynnig fy mhrofiad i’r sefydliad cyfan,” meddai. “Gyda’r elusen, hoffwn chwarae rhan weithredol yn cefnogi ffermwyr trwy amgylchiadau anodd a heriol.”

Magwyd Delme Harries ar fferm ei deulu ger Hwlffordd ac ers iddo ymuno â’r CFfI lleol yn 12 oed, mae wedi aros gyda’r sefydliad tan heddiw. Ar hyn o bryd, mae’n Gadeirydd Bwrdd Rheoli’r Ffederasiwn Cenedlaethol Clybiau Ffermwyr Ifanc (NFYFC) ac yn Ddirprwy Lywydd NFYFC Cymru a Lloegr.

Meddai Delme: “Trwy fy ymglymiad wrth y Ffermwyr Ifanc, rwy’n gwybod bod RABI yn sefydliad sy’n agos at galon llawer o bobl. Mae’n sefydliad y mae pobl yn ei barchu ac yn falch o fod yn rhan ohono. Rwy’n disgwyl yn eiddgar am gael bod yn rhan o’r strwythur cefnogi sy’n gofalu amdanynt.”

Mae Delme wedi gweithio i’r NFU Mutual ers dros 30 mlynedd, yn Sir Benfro ac ym mhrif swyddfa’r cwmni yn Swydd Warwig.

Meddai Jeanette Dawson, Cadeirydd RABI: “Rydym yn ffodus i gael croesawu Alan Davies a Delme Harries i ymuno â Chyngor Ymddiriedolwyr RABI ar adeg mor heriol i ffermwyr, ac ar gyfnod cyffrous yn natblygiad yr elusen hon sy’n 160 oed. Roedd gweld ein proses recriwtio gadarn yn denu detholiad mor gryf ac amrywiol o ymgeiswyr o Gymru yn ddarostyngol ac yn foddhaus.

“Mae Delme ac Alan yn cynnig cyfoeth o brofiad yn y sector amaethyddol a fydd yn ategu cryfderau’r bwrdd ymddiriedolwyr presennol wrth i ni symud ymlaen i ddatblygu cefnogaeth RABI i bobl sy’n ffermio.”
