The second BaConversation was hosted by East Yorks RABI and Sally Conner (Regional Volunteer Manager – North East) in Driffield, East Riding on 13 April. This free informal gathering brought together over 50 farming people of all ages to catch up over hot drinks and sandwiches.
The event was well received by the local community, who have recently been particularly affected by flooding in the area.
“It can be very lonely and isolating being a farmer’s wife, living out in the sticks, not seeing people every day other than your husband and kids,” said one of the attendees.
“This morning’s RABI event was good for me, a reason to get out and meet up with people who may be in the same position and we can share experiences.”
