Elanco, a global animal health company, is raising funds for R.A.B.I by offering an advanced dairy vetting course. The course will be free for all invitees, but Elanco has asked that they make a donation of £200.
Elanco is a company which provides health products, knowledge, and other services for people who raise and care for animals.
The four-day course will cover a range of topics to help dairy vets understand the pressures of the dairy industry and how to improve their business. Guest speakers will also be coming along to give talks to the invitees.
This is not the first time that Elanco has helped to raise funds for R.A.B.I. Last year they donated £5,000 as part of their Pledge to Protect campaign.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness of dairy herd immune suppression and transition disease. The initiative asked farmers and vets to make a symbolic commitment by placing a pledge coin in a fiberglass cow. When the Pledge Cow was full, Elanco made its donation to R.A.B.I.
Suzy Deeley, R.A.B.I corporate development manager, said: “We greatly appreciate the support of Elanco Animal Health. It’s fantastic to work with people from other agricultural sectors who are so committed to improving animal health and improving food safety.”
