On 26 September, members of Essex farming community came together to celebrate the harvest by attending a service in Chelmsford Cathedral.
Prayers were led by RABI and FCN and the service included a harvest report by the Chair of Essex NFU, Christy Willett. Essex YFC also ran a wheelbarrow competition, where clubs decorated their wheelbarrows in the theme of ‘Farming for our Future’. The High Sheriff announced the winner at the end of the service.
All guests were invited to enjoy refreshments, generously provided by the Kelly family, following the service.
The collection from the harvest festival was split between RABI and FCN, and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that joined us.
