Fundraisers from Essex organised a harvest thanksgiving service St Peter’s Church, Goldhanger, and raised £300 for RABI and FCN.
Thirty guests attended the socially distanced service, led by Rev Canon Janet Nichols, and enjoyed readings, prayers, and traditional hymns by the church choir
The High Sheriff of Essex, Julie Fosh attended the event and presented Alan Wreathall, the recently retired chairman of the Essex committee, with a High Sheriff’s Certificate in appreciation of his work with the RABI and the farming community in the county.
Elsewhere in the county, the Church of St Mary in Hatfield Broad Oak donated £100 following their harvest festival and Angela Smith from Margaretting raised £1,100 by opening her garden for guests to explore.
