Essex RABI committee hosted a Harvest Afternoon Tea on the 12th of September for the first time in 18 months, to get the farming community and RABI supporters back together once again.
The event took place at Colemans Farm, Witham by kind permission of Simon and Emma Brice. A huge thankyou to them both for their generosity in allowing RABI to use their marquee which had been set up for an event prior to the afternoon tea.
The day consisted of a lovely afternoon tea, raffle, auction, and guest speaker, Will Gemmill from Ceres Rural giving us an insight into Clarksons Farm.
With 150 guests in attendance, it was a great success and a brilliant social occasion.
The event raised £3,620.
Thank you to everyone who came to support through buying tickets, getting involved in the auction, and making donations.
Thank you as well to those who were involved in organising the day, specifically Abigail’s Catering for supplying the wonderful food, Ceres Rural and Billericay Farm Services. Thanks also goes to Porter Ag who helped to support the day and Tiptree and Rodda’s for donating jam and cream.
