The annual antiques and collectors preview evening held at the Hansons Auction Centre in Etwall raised £2,000.
The event was organised by the Derbyshire committee, spearheaded by member Sue Hall. The auction centre was set up by auctioneer Charles Hanson, known for TV shows Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip. Guests were invited to bring their own items for valuation by the Hansons team.
An auction on the night contributed to the funds raised. A popular lot was two tickets to the filming of Bargain Hunt. After dinner, guests had the chance to explore the auction area.
Mary Maud, regional manager for the East Midlands, said: “The Derbyshire committee works hard to make this event a success, year after year. I’d like to thank Barclays for their match-funding. Their continued support is greatly appreciated.”
