A concert at Talgarth Town Hall on Friday November 24 will kick-start R.A.B.I’s festive fundraising programme in Brecon & Radnor.
The Brecon & Radnor committee is organising the Talgarth concert, which will feature the Rhayader Male Voice Choir, Wyn Rees and Sophie Jones. Hot on its heels, on Monday November 27, a panel evening will be held at the FUW Pavilion on the Royal Welsh Showground. Fielding questions will be Kate Beavan, John Mercer, Teleri Fielden and Brian Walters. Don’t expect Question Time, with lengthy discussions on Brexit – this will be a light-hearted evening, putting the fun into fundraising.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I’s regional manager for Wales, said: “It can be hard for someone to admit they need the support of a charity, but we work in complete confidence and I’d urge anyone who is struggling, and who has minimal savings, to call our Freephone Helpline 0808 281 9490.”
Brecon & Radnor committee chair Elaine Stephens added: “I hope people will support both of these events. We are extremely proud of the support that R.A.B.I has offered to the farming community in Brecon & Radnor in recent years.”
For tickets to either event contact Elaine Stephens on 01874 711356, Kath Shaw on 07887 553956 or Paul Greenow on 07807 819706. Tickets for the Talgarth Town Hall cost £5, while the guest panel evening tickets are priced £10.
