Thousands visited the annual Forde Abbey Summer Fair. Each year, the fair raises funds for charity and last year brought in £30,000 for R.A.B.I and Riding for the Disabled Association.
The fair is held on the grounds of the former Cistercian monastery near Chard, Dorset. Unlike other shows, the fair is popular for its traditional vibe with entertainment such as a Punch & Judy, funfair rides, live bands, a dog show and falconry. A collection of classic cars and vintage tractors also piqued interest.
Dorset committee members and volunteers helped man the gate, welcoming guests to the fair. Homemade cakes and refreshments were available on the R.A.B.I stand while former trustee James Orme helped sell ice cream, which completely sold out by the end of the day.
