Farming people across Gloucestershire gathered for an evening of frog racing, raising £2,037 for R.A.B.I and the Gloucestershire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
Held at the Eastington Community Centre, the races were organised by R.A.B.I’s Gloucestershire committee and the Gloucestershire YFC. The Cotswold Frog Racing Team brought their wooden frogs out of retirement for the event.
Around 100 people turned out for the races, including NFYFC chair Katie Hall. Tyndale Vets provided sausages and Pound Farm Shop donated potatoes for a sausage and mash dinner.
Laura Ractliffe, regional manager for South Central, said: “I’d like to thank the Gloucestershire YFC for getting involved with this event. It’s great to have the opportunity to raise awareness of the charity amongst a younger generation.”
