Around 100 people attended the event at Shanklin, where Ryde Extreme Performers wowed guests with fire breathing exercises and Joey and the Jivers had the dance floor packed later in the evening. The High Sheriff of the Island, Ron Holland gave an informative speech and also contributed the beef for the evening.
RIWAS support people of all ages on the Island in the pursuit of improving and raising awareness of agricultural and rural community projects, as well as supporting young people wishing to continue in education studying towards qualifications that may lead to work opportunities on the Island in the agricultural/rural sector.
The evening’s sponsors included NFU Mutual, Mole Country Stores, Garlic Farm, Wight Fit, Green and Forster and R Hunts (John Deere Dealership).
With thanks to all involved in the organisation and participation in the fundraising evening.
