Supporters attended the annual Henlle Park golf day, raising £2,300.
Twenty one teams competed on the Oswestry course, with golfers coming from as far as Berkshire to take part. The Rees Astley team triumphed, claiming first place after coming second last year, and took home the R.A.B.I Shield. In second place were ‘Weapons of Grass Destruction’ and in third spot were ‘Ewe Beauty’.
The nearest the pin prizes went to Richard Simm and Carol Taylor, for men and women respectively, while Tim Belcher had the longest drive.
Teams enjoyed a barbeque and cake at the ninth hole, served by members of the Shropshire committee. At the end of the day, they tucked into a two-course meal at the Henlle Park clubhouse.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, said: “I would like to give a huge thanks to Agri Advisor for their generosity. This is the fourth consecutive year that they have sponsored our Henlle Golf Challenge and it’s much appreciated.”
