The Worcestershire committee won the Hunter Farm Cup for their successful annual dinner dance. Committee member Gerard Poulter collected the award from Lord Plumb at R.A.B.I’s awards ceremony in Oxfordshire.
The prize is awarded to the person or committee who organised a regular event, which raised the most money or awareness. Last year’s Worcestershire dinner raised £5,100, with NFU Cymru president attending as guest speaker.
Joshua Hosier, R.A.B.I deputy chairman, said: “The small, yet perfectly formed committee contributed greatly to the success of the 2017 dinner. Aside from the cost of the meal, the committee ensure there are no other big expenses. Raffle and auction prizes are donated, as are the flowers.”
Gerard Poulter added: “I’d like to dedicate this award to Hugh Hughes, a longstanding committee member who died recently. He was an inspiration to us all.”
