After the cancellation of the original event due to Covid-19, regular fundraiser Abigail Baker has spent the recent months preparing for the rescheduled Votwo Jurassic Coast Challenge.
Starting on November 6, Abigail will run 78 miles from Charmouth to Shell Bay – the equivalent of three marathons in just three days.
Over the past few years, Abigail has completed the Bournemouth half marathon, the Purbeck 16 and the London marathon to raise thousands for RABI. Farming is a large part of her life and, as her husband is a farmworker, Abigail is keen to support the farming community.
Abigail said: “I’m feeling very nervous. Over the last 9 weeks I’ve run 375 miles and climbed 39,612 ft of elevation – that’s equivalent to running around the Isle of Wight 5.3 times and climbing Everest 1.4 times!”
