Justin Rees has joined R.A.B.I as the charity’s new head of finance. He’ll be working with the organisation’s head office team at Shaw House in Oxford.
A CIPFA qualified accountant, Justin has experience working in the charity and public sectors. He studied accountancy at the University of Huddersfield and earned a postgraduate certificate in strategic management from the University of Bristol.
“The staff here are warm and friendly,”, said Justin, who replaces Colin Cooper following his retirement. “Everyone has made me feel welcome.”
Justin is from a farming background and he understands the difficulties farming people face and the impact it has on the family.
He added: “R.A.B.I is performing an increasingly important role and I’m pleased to be part of an organisation that helps farming people who find themselves in difficulty through no fault of their own.
“I’m looking forward to developing the charity’s finances in a way that allows the organisation to better meet the needs of the farming community.”
Outside of work, Justin enjoys cycling and walking. He also served as treasurer for his two sons’ rugby club before they left school.
