The Leicestershire RABI county committee held a harvest service at Bawdon Lodge Farm near Loughborough by kind permission of the Bailey family on 25 September 2022. The service was led by the Reverend Sharon Constable and featured harvest hymns and readings including a short talk by John Stanley, chairman of the RABI council of trustees.
This enjoyable and sociable event was well supported, with tea and cake served after the service and Christmas cards sold. Visitors brought along donations of harvest produce and kitchen cupboard staples.
Committee member Ann Bodycote has subsequently presented the generous harvest festival donations to the Leonard Cheshire Nursing home, Newlands House at Netherseal. A collection at the service also raised £247 for RABI.
