Rev. Michelle Bailey is all set to take a plunge into the freezing sea on Boxing Day as part of the Walrus Dip – an annual charity fundraiser. She’s raising money for R.A.B.I, the DPJ Foundation and Tir Dewi
Taking place on Pembrey Beach in Carmarthenshire, Michelle will join around 100 others as they run into the ocean. In keeping with the rural theme, Michelle will be going dressed as Little Bo Peep. She said: “We’ve lost so many sheep recently, I thought dressing as this character would help raise awareness.”
Michelle is a member of the Brecon & Radnor committee and is passionate about supporting farmers. She added: “As a rural life officer for the church, I believe it’s important to support our farming community. Where I live, everyone has farming connections. I’m hoping to promote the struggles farmers face.
“It’ll be fun, too. One of my parishioners is joining me on the day and I’ve had a lot of support from the rest of the community.”
