A beetle drive at St Arvans Hall near Chepstow raised £421. The fundraiser was hosted by the Monmouthshire committee.
The game of beetle is something all the family can play and requires only paper, pencils and a dice. At the St Arvans event, sausage and chips was served during the interval and a raffle was held to further boost funds.
Gwilym Richards, Monmouthshire county committee chairman, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who supported this event, including those who donated prizes. There was a good turnout and it was another fun night.”
Rachel Wooff, Monmouthshire county committee secretary, added: “We had a prize this year for the worst drawn beetle which was won by committee member Alun Morgan. He took it in good humour.”
