R.A.B.I’s Helpline remains open and staff will continue to provide support to people from the farming sector in need, despite the challenges posed by Coronavirus.
It’s clear from speaking to callers that most people would prefer to access support over the phone for now. In exceptional circumstances visits can still take place if needed.
Time is a precious commodity, especially in farming. But it’s something our staff will happily give you.
Call us on the Freephone Helpline: 0808 281 9490 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
When you call you’ll speak to a member of our dedicated welfare team in our Oxford office. We understand that making that very first call – and talking about personal things with someone you don’t know – might sound daunting.
However, it’s 100% confidential, so you’ll be free to discuss what’s on your mind without judgement. We won’t disclose any information to third parties without your explicit permission and calls are not recorded. We’ll do our very best to make you feel at ease, listening with courtesy, sympathy and respect.
It’s likely that following that initial call we'll arrange for one of our regional welfare officers to visit you. This allows you to build a real relationship with someone who’s on your side – and wants to help you find the best solutions to your problems. Again, confidentiality is assured every step of the way so you’ve absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Our regional welfare officers will sit down with you to discuss a plan of action. You’d be amazed how many problems get sorted out around a kitchen table!
