Large group of people gathered on the lawn outside a grand country house during the Newton Shoot event on a sunny day.

Teams from across the agricultural, land and property sectors came together at the Shuckburgh Estate recently (Thursday 14 May 2026) for the fifth annual Newton LDP Charity Clay Shoot in support of RABI, the farmers charity. Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, the event has now raised almost £200,000 for RABI, including £46,000 raised from this year's shoot to help farming people across England and Wales.

The popular event welcomed over 45 shooting teams for a day of fundraising, networking and friendly competition, alongside hospitality and catering throughout the day, including a gourmet lunch provided by Flying Pig Catering. Despite occasional rain showers, the event maintained a fantastic atmosphere throughout, with strong support and positive engagement across all shooting stands.

Richard Foxon, Managing Director of Newton LDP, said:

"We are incredibly proud to continue supporting RABI through the Newton LDP Charity Clay Shoot. As a business working closely with landowners, farmers and rural businesses, we see first-hand the pressures facing the agricultural community, and RABI's work in providing practical, financial and emotional support is hugely important.

This year's event was another fantastic example of the generosity shown across the rural, land and property sectors. Our sincere thanks go to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated prizes or supported the day in any way, and to Sir James and Lady Shuckburgh for once again allowing us to host the event at the Shuckburgh Estate."

Paul Pirie, Head of Fundraising at RABI, said:

"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the Newton Annual Charity Shoot such a tremendous success — from the organisers, staff and sponsors to every guest and shooting team who took part. The event has truly become a flagship occasion in the rural calendar, bringing people together in support of farming communities while celebrating the very best of countryside spirit and generosity.

Events like this make a real difference to the work of RABI – the farmers charity – helping us continue to provide practical, financial and emotional support to farming people across the country. On behalf of everyone at RABI, thank you to Newton for helping us continue to be there for farmers when support is needed."
