RABI would like to thank Newton LDP for raising an amazing total of £23,236.73 at their first Newton Cup charity clay shoot. Held at the prestigious Shuckburgh Estate, by kind permission of Sir James and Lady Shuckburgh, the shoot was the first event for the Warwickshire-based land, development and property agency with RABI as chosen charity.
Over 160 property professionals participated in the shoot, followed by a dinner, auction and raffle. The shoot saw Adalta Real win the Newton Cup, followed by Three Shires Trailers as runners up.
Suzy Deeley, head of partnerships, attended the event on behalf of RABI. She said, “The support that we receive from companies such as Newton LDP enables us to continue to provide our services to the farming community throughout England and Wales, so we’re really thankful to them and all of the fundraisers who took part.”
Richard Foxon, Managing Director at Newton LDP, said: “This was a fantastic day and I really want to say thank you to all of our generous sponsors and those who took part and helped ensure this was a huge success.
“Farmers can be extremely resilient but also need help to create healthy farming communities, which is why the support provided from RABI is essential.”
All profits from the day were donated to RABI. The funds will help provide financial support, guidance and practical care to all members of the farming community. This support includes the new in-person counselling and mental health training services, launched in response to the findings of the Big Farming Survey.
