More than 100 people attended NFU Kendal’s farm walk at the Benson Hall dairy farm to learn more about the farming sector and raise funds for RABI, by kind permission of the Ladds family.
Guests toured the farm in small groups led by the Ladds family, who did an amazing job at giving insight into their dairy farm and the work they do with the Kendal Agricultural College.
At the beginning of the evening, Cumbria RABI Chair, Alison Wilson, and RABI Regional Manager for North West England, Leoni, collected donation and sold raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to RABI. Leoni also gave a talk to attendees about the vital work RABI does within the farming community and thanking them for their support.
Food was provided, prepared and paid for by the NFU Kendal team. A fantastic £1430 was raised in total at the event between the raffle, food and donations.
