Showjumper Geoff Billington entertained guests at the Cheshire committee’s lunch, held at Crewe Hall. The event raised £2,000.
A local celebrity, Geoff had guests in stitches with amusing tales from his career. He competed in 33 countries and represented England at both the Atlanta and Sydney Olympic games with his horse ‘It’s Otto’.
Chairman Malcolm Thomas also spoke at the event. He recognised the efforts of the committee and announced that county chairman Norman Lawson will step down from his post in January 2020. Norman will then take on the role of county president.
Katy Noden put together a hamper filled with goodies, which was auctioned for £100. Thank you to Barclays, who match-funded the event.
