A coffee morning at St Mary’s Church in Newport, Pembrokeshire, raised £200 for farming families in financial hardship.
Sue Wells, with the help of Alice Evans and Judith Morgan (pictured), organised the coffee morning on behalf of members of St Mary’s Church. Tea and homemade cakes were also served in the North Transept of the church.
R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “I’d like to thank all members of the church for supporting us. The money will be spent helping Pembrokeshire families and we appreciate every pound that is raised in our name.”
Guests also enjoyed a reading of Dylan Thomas’ poem ‘Fern Hill’ by church member Val Ripley.
Sue Wells added: “Thank you to everyone who attended and also all who helped by baking cakes.”
A big thank you to all involved from R.A.B.I
