He may be super cool, but snowman Phil Smallwood certainly didn’t give a frosty reception at the annual Cheshire quiz night.
Around 100 people joined the Cheshire committee at the Willaston Sports and Social Club in Nantwich, raising £850. Team ‘I thought this was speed dating’ came out on top, winning themselves bottles of wine.
It’s tradition for committee member Phil to dress up in a different costume each year as he takes on the role of quizmaster. Previous outfits include a Christmas pudding, a cracker and a festive fairy. This year he was a snowman, thanks to the costume making skills of wife Dorothy.
Local turkey farmer Mike Bailey provided turkey sandwiches for the guests while ‘Mick the Chip’ offered portions of chips.
