Poet Julie Sampson raised £225 for R.A.B.I at the launch of her new book ‘It Was When It Was When It Was’.
Julie compiled the book of poems in memory of her late parents. She read a few out a few pieces at the launch, which was held in Crediton, Devon, and invited a number of other writers and poets to share their work.
Pam Wills, regional manager for the South West, attended the event and gave a talk about the work of the charity. Local folk duo Meander provided a musical backdrop while Hilary Partridge Catering supplied a buffet.
Pam said: “I’d like to thank Julie for choosing R.A.B.I to receive this donation. It was a delight to attend the launch and speak to her fans about how their donations will be used to help farmers in financial hardship.”
