RABI has launched its new five-year strategy setting out a clear direction to reduce the wellbeing gap for farming people. The strategy focuses on prevention, improving access to support, and delivering trusted, professional help, while strengthening community resilience and maximising reach and impact – underpinned by a stronger, more sustainable organisation.

The strategy, Empowering the worth and wellbeing of farming people, outlines RABI’s vision for a future where farming people feel valued, supported and understood. It builds on insight from The Big Farming Survey, which revealed that farming people experience consistently lower levels of physical and mental health than the UK average.

RABI’s New Strategy 2025–2030

The strategy focuses on three aims that will guide our work:

1. Improve access to health and wellbeing support
We will expand trusted services — including counselling, Click and Chat and partnership programmes — to remove barriers and reach people earlier.

2. Strengthen community resilience
We will support locally led initiatives that connect people, share experiences and build confidence across farming communities.

3. Maximise our reach and impact
We will grow our volunteer network and partnerships so more farming people know about RABI and can access help when they need it.
