R.A.B.I welcomes Ryan Jarvis, who joins the Oxford office team as Information Systems Manager – a new role for the charity.
Ryan is responsible for updating and managing the system processes that make the charity run. He said: “I’m here to ensure that all our systems are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the organisation. I’m also responsible for the strategic direction of our information systems, both now and for the future.
“At the moment, I’m focussed on our finance systems. We need to look at how we can analyse our data in the most efficient manner so we can provide the best service to the people we help.”
Before joining R.A.B.I, Ryan worked for a number of small enterprises and multi-national companies, including spending ten years with Brita Water.
He said: “I’m not from a charity background, but I have a deep-seated belief in doing good for the community. I wanted to work for an organisation that matches that belief.
“This is a completely different area for me, both in the non-profit sector as well as the agricultural industry. I’m keen to learn something new, but also to bring in my skills from the commercial world.”
Outside of work, Ryan volunteers his time with his local youth football team – Banbury Irish – and plays five-a-side. Last year, he completed two marathons as well as half-marathons and mud runs.
