Twelve-year-old Sadie Mason has raised an incredible £705 for RABI while working towards her ACE Award at school.
As part of her project, Sadie has created a colouring book featuring 10 photographs she took herself around her family farm, alongside a short story, The Adventures of Duck and Tiny Tim, inspired by her two pet sheep.
Sadie chose to support RABI because of the charity’s work with farming people and families across England and Wales.
A creative project inspired by farm life
Sadie combined her creativity with her experience of growing up on a farm to develop her fundraising project.
Her colouring book features 10 photographs taken around the family farm, which have been transformed into images for people to colour.
Alongside the colouring book, Sadie has written The Adventures of Duck and Tiny Tim, a story following the adventures of the family’s two pet sheep. The book finishes with a chapter about Sadie’s own experiences of growing up on a farm.
Through the project, Sadie has already raised an impressive £705 for RABI.
Supporting farming families
Sadie chose RABI as the charity she wanted to support while completing her ACE Award because of the connection the charity has with families like her own.
Sadie’s mum, Lucie Mason, said:
“Sadie has chosen RABI because it supports farming families just like ours. It provides practical, financial and emotional support to farming people, helping them access the right support earlier, strengthen their wellbeing and resilience, and navigate the challenges of farming life with greater confidence.”
The money Sadie has raised will help RABI continue providing practical, financial and emotional support to farming people across England and Wales.
