The Staffordshire Pie and Pea Supper returned for its 17th year, raising £6,515. Held at the Whiston Village Hall, the event was organised by the Fallows family led by Staffordshire committee member Elsie Fallows.
Supporters got involved with the popular “naff-raff” and bottle raffle. There was also a promise auction with more than 120 lots, including a carved wooden owl and Christmas hampers. Mark Simcock auctioned off the prizes.
The Co-operative Bank contributed £150 to the total raised and Barclays Bank match-funded £1,000.
