A woodland themed garden featuring more than 700 plants was created as a tribute for Suffolk show president and R.A.B.I trustee Stephen Miles.
Stephen became show director in 2005 and has been senior steward for the Glasswells Flower and Garden Marquee for 10 years. This year’s garden, which is twice the size of any previous display, was designed by John Dyter.
The R.A.B.I stand was manned by staff and volunteers, including trustee John Stanley and chairman Malcolm Thomas. Stephen Miles and his wife Petrina took a break from their busy days to stop by the charity’s stand and chatted with supporters. Other visitors included Lord Gardiner of Defra, who ran the British 10k for R.A.B.I in the past.
After the first day of the show, Malcolm Thomas spoke to guests at the NFU members’ evening event about the work of the charity.
