The Wales and Borders Annual Golf Day took place on Friday 27 June at Mile End Golf Club, with glorious sunshine setting the tone for a successful and enjoyable event. The annual event that has run for over 20 years continues to be a highlight in the regional calendar.
Twelve teams took part in the day, which began with bacon rolls on arrival and featured sausage rolls at the halfway point, followed by a two-course meal after the final round. The event was generously sponsored by Ivor Williams Trailers Group and it was a pleasure to welcome their graduate, Archie Mobbs, as a guest at the event.
The team from T&L Leasing claimed first place, with team members Paul Lewis, Jim Edgerley, Steve Thomas, and Steve Cooper delivering an outstanding performance. Individual prizes were also awarded:
- Longest Drive: Simon Lander
- Nearest the Pin: Carl Pearce
- 2’s: Steve Willis
Thanks are extended to the dedicated volunteers who supported the event by managing the raffle and refreshments. Due to their effort and the generosity of participants, the day raised £2179 in aid of RABI’s work with the farming community in England and Wales.
