The Council of Awards of the Royal Agricultural Societies (CARAS) in Wales donated £2,570 to R.A.B.I, Prostate Cymru and MacMillan.
The CARAS held their recent conference at Castell Howell Foods in Cross Hands, one of Wales’ largest food producers. Brian Jones and his children Martin and Kathryn, who are all directors of Castell Howell, gave presentations about the business.
Ticket sales for the meeting raised £2,000, which was split between R.A.B.I and Prostate Cymru. A further £570 was generated on the day and was donated to MacMillan as part of their coffee morning campaign.
CARAS Wales chair Meurig James said: “The day was a huge success and we are grateful to Brian Jones and the whole Castell Howell Team for their generosity and time. We are also proud to be able to donate over £2,500 to three excellent causes.”
