The show season has come to a close in the South West with the Widecombe Fair, where volunteers raised £544.
Devon committee member Donald Arscott took to the main ring to talk about the work the charity does. He was saluted by the Dartmoor Hill Pony Display team as a senior member of the committee.
Supporters ran a ‘guess the weight of the tractor engine’ competition. Winner Jeremy Askham was 5kg off the correct weight of 1,680kg.
Pam Wills, regional manager for the South West, said: “It was a great effort from everyone involved and a fantastic way to end the show season. I’d like to thank Michael Slater of Masons Kings for donating the tractor and for helping us draw the raffle.”
