The Wiltshire committee treated 50 guests to a delicious beef dinner, raising £655.
The event was held at The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury and was the first of its kind for the committee. Guests tucked into slow cooked British beef, followed by a caramelised lemon tart. A raffle contributed £415 to the total funds raised.
Laura Ractliffe, regional manager for South Central, said: “This event provided a great opportunity to inform local people about the needs of farming people in Wiltshire. By the end of April this year, R.A.B.I had given out £29k in the county to 37 individuals and families, so the help of our supporters is vital.”
As a result of the information provided on the evening, one guest offered their farm for a summer farm walk fundraiser later this year.
