How we help

Individuals and Families

RABI provides support to the farming community across England and Wales.  Support is provided to those who are currently working in agriculture and those who are no longer working due to illness, injury, disability or age.

Those who are currently working in agriculture include the following:

  • Owner occupier and tenant farmers
  • Agricultural contractors
  • Farm workers and farm contractors
  • Dealers in livestock
  • Field vegetable growers
  • Top fruit growers
  • Dependants of the above

Those who are no longer working due to illness, injury, disability or age must have been employed within one of the above occupations.

If you or someone you know might benefit from our support, please call us on our confidential freephone helpline 0800 188 4444.

Your call will be answered by a member of our team between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.  Alternatively email us at help@rabi.org.uk.

For more information on the support we can provide to individuals and families please see here.

Organisations

Highlighted within the 2019 strategy are four foundations that RABI believe underpin the provision of enhanced services to build resilience across the farming community:

  • Understanding on an enduring basis the services that farming people require to overcome the challenges they face
  • Identifying where gaps exist between required services available already and those needed
  • Working in partnership with other service delivery organisations to fill these gaps
  • Removing the stigma associated with seeking support

To assist in the achievement of these aims, RABI is seeking to develop partnerships with other not-for-profit organisations to develop the holistic toolkit of support available for farming people.

If your organisation would like to consider working with RABI to achieve these aims, please contact us at help@rabi.org.uk.

RABI also provides grants to not-for-profit organisations working at a national or local level whereby they support the provision of enhanced services to the farming community.  For more details of the current funding objectives please see here.
