Helping spread the word at shows and events

Thank you to everyone introducing FarmersAid at shows and events. By demonstrating the app and encouraging downloads, you are helping more farming people prepare for serious on-farm emergencies.

More than 4,500 people had downloaded the app by the end of June. For FAQs and updates, visit the FarmersAid website.

New resources for committees

To help support your conversations at local shows and events this summer, we’ve introduced a range of new resources to help you talk about RABI and FarmersAid.

New RABI and FarmersAid resource packs are being sent to committees with upcoming shows. This guide explains what is available and how to use it at events.

You can also use the FarmersAid First Response Test to start conversations about emergency preparedness and encourage app downloads.

If your committee hasn’t heard from us yet, don’t worry – we’ll be in touch ahead of your upcoming events.

If you’re running low on any of these materials, please contact the Supporter Care team at committees@rabi.org.uk. They’ll be happy to make sure you have what you need before your next event.

Thank you for everything you’re doing to represent RABI at shows and events and for helping more farming people access the support available to them.

Thank you for your feedback

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our Volunteer Pulse Survey. Your feedback is already helping shape the future of volunteering at RABI.

It’s encouraging to see that so many volunteers enjoy volunteering with RABI and understand the positive difference they’re making to farming people and their families. At the same time, you highlighted opportunities to improve communication, role clarity, recognition and ways to share your views.

Your feedback is shaping the Volunteer Portal, clearer guidance and training, more regular updates and improved volunteer recognition. We will keep you informed as this work develops.

Our Annual report 2025 is now available

The report shows the difference RABI made for farming people across England and Wales in 2025, including the contribution of 627 volunteers who gave 10,632 hours to raise awareness, support events and connect people with RABI’s services.

The report also includes new case studies and statistics showing the impact of our work. We hope you enjoy reading it and seeing the difference you have helped make for farming communities.

Save the date: RABI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2026. Committee Chairs will receive further information shortly. If you are attending on behalf of your committee, please remember that travel expenses will be covered.
