RABI Volunteer Newsletter – June 2026

Welcome to the latest online newsletter for RABI volunteers.

A three-panel collage featuring RABI volunteers and supporters at agricultural events. The first image shows volunteers at a RABI stand beneath a branded gazebo. The second shows volunteers and supporters holding FarmersAid promotional materials at a showground. The third shows a RABI volunteer and supporter smiling while displaying a FarmersAid leaflet inside an event tent.

Show season is underway

Thank you to everyone who has supported RABI at shows and events so far this year. It’s been wonderful to see volunteers helping us connect with farming people, raise awareness of our services and represent RABI in local communities.

We’ve received some fantastic feedback from volunteers, highlighting the value of meeting new people, sharing experiences and being part of the RABI team. Thank you for the time, energy and enthusiasm you bring to every event.

There are still opportunities to get involved this season, and we’d love to see you at an upcoming show.

A banner thanking supporters for selling RABI Christmas cards. The design features the message “Thank you to everyone who supports RABI by selling Christmas cards” alongside a button reading “Order cards for your committee.” On the right, several Christmas card designs are displayed, including festive farming scenes with Highland cattle, sheep and tractors in snowy winter settings.

Christmas Cards

Thank you to everyone who supports RABI by selling Christmas cards. The funds raised help us continue supporting farming people across England and Wales.

To order cards for your committee, please complete the order form and return it to committees@rabi.org.uk. Orders will be placed weekly, subject to demand.

Where possible, please consolidate orders to help reduce postage costs and maximise the funds raised.

Thank you for your continued support.

How to report a wellbeing or health and safety concern

If you have concerns about someone’s wellbeing, health or safety while volunteering with RABI, or witness an accident or near miss, please report it as soon as possible.

Reporting concerns helps us ensure our activities remain safe and supportive for everyone.

All concerns are treated seriously and handled sensitively.

Expenses reminder

We don’t want personal costs to be a barrier to volunteering with RABI. If you incur reasonable expenses while volunteering, information on how to claim will be shared after events.

All committee expenses are managed through your Committee Treasurer. Further information can be found in the Volunteer Handbook and the Treasurer’s Guidance.

A banner promoting volunteer clothing orders. The design features the heading “Order your volunteer clothing” on a dark green background, with an image of a green RABI volunteer t-shirt displayed in the centre. The t-shirt features the RABI volunteer branding and logo in yellow and white against a cream-coloured background.
